Like every field of knowledge, however, the design of injection molds is characterized by many knowledge fields where algorithmization is only possible in great expanse or not ossible at all. Therefor, the quality of relevant solutions is closely linked to the personal experience of the experts. In this research, we use the Expert System developing tool- PCPLUS for the rule base building and the inference processing, use FORTRAN programs for necessary calculations, use dBASE PLUS and other files for the storage of origional data and resulting data. This system contains two portions : Injection Molds Design (IMDES) and Injection Molding Trouble Shooting (IMTSES). The IMTSES is based on machine learning model, which means that it emphasizes the ability of self heuristic learning. After long period of operations, the system will increase it's intelligence gradually.
