That the Tangent Analysis Method (TAM) cannot find the start bifurcation point is one of its well-known flaws. Also, deriving necessary conditions by using TAM is too complex and tedious. In this paper, we discuss how to overcome these weaknesses by combining the root of the discriminator method and TAM to solve the problems. We provide one examples of our work to demonstrate that, using the root of the discriminator method as an auxiliary of TAM, can not only find the start bifurcation point easily, but also provides advantages in formulating an operating strategy of high conversion and single stable state.
